Stijn Haak, architectural engineer 

Stijn developed his passion for architecture and construction during his studies at Windesheim Zwolle. This was followed by a master's degree in 'achitecture' at TU Delft, where he thought integrally about technology, circularity and sustainability within design.

Besides his studies, Stijn gained work experience at LEVS architects and Groothuis Bouwgroep. He used this knowledge during his graduation research for his Master's degree in Architecture Design. During his graduation, he researched the needs in housing design for residents in Amsterdam West. Stijn took all this knowledge and experience with him to cepezed, where he joined as a structural engineer.

Not only the fact that cepezed is a frontrunner in circular construction and design appeals to Stijn. He also finds 'cepezed's designs logical, pragmatic and systematic. This suits my way of designing, in which system thinking plays the leading role.'

A cepezed project with which Stijn feels connected is the Temporary Court & multitenant and educational building and multi tenant building This is something he is immensely proud of because it is 'a beautiful building that has been designed to be completely demountable and remountable'. Stijn sees this as "groundbreaking and innovative".
