cepezed-partner Ronald Schleurholts is ambassador of the theme day ‘Healthy Buildings – designing with light and air’, which takes place Wednesday February 6th during the third day of the BouwBeurs 2019.
With some 600 manufacturers and suppliers displaying their solutions, the biennual BouwBeurs in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht attracts some 75.000 visitors, which makes it one of the biggest Dutch construction trade fairs.
The theme day on healthy buildings focusses on how (day)light and air importantly contribute to the wellbeing of users. As a known advocate for this topic and on request of the BouwBeurs, cepezed’s Ronald Schleurholts helped putting together the programme with lectures, debates and pitches. The participants are inspiring experts from home and abroad, for instance from DGMR engineers and the Danish architectural office Henning Larsen. Among other things, a wide range of examples stemming from daily practice will be discussed, such as Hotel Jakarta with a hortus in the heart of the building, the healing environment of the Maxima Medical Centre and the Active House vision on healthy buildings. Healthy business cases for building with light and air will also be debated.
