schools have started again

For the students of the Coenecoop College in Waddinxveen and the International School Almere, the first school day after the summer vacations was extra exciting: they started in a brand-new cepezed building. Both designs obviously meet the specific wishes of both schools.

independent learning
Coenecoop is a large school for 950 pupils, from grammar school to vmbo. cepezed accommodated Coenecoop's teaching method, which focuses on independent learning, with many individual workstations and seating areas for small groups. In addition, in view of the large number of students, we distinguished between areas for noise, such as the high atrium, and areas for quiet. Special feature is the graceful spiral staircase from the first to the second floor.

holistic education
The International School Almere is intended for some 700 primary and secondary school pupils. cepezed situated the elementary school on one side and the secondary school on the other side of the entrance. The kindergarten children were given bright classrooms with plenty of glass and direct access to the playground annex garden. The assembly hall, canteen and library in the heart of the building are for communal use, as are the vegetable garden and the drama, music and gymnasiums. This contributes to belonging among the students and facilitates the holistic basis of education.
