‘A building designed to be taken apart’

Lucas van der Wee | cepezed

From disasssembly to re-assembly: cepezed aims for a construction methodology where every building can be taken apart again and put to another use, based on the 'kit-of-parts' theory. A circular building: conceived to be taken apart again and reused somewhere else.

experiment
In 2016, the temporary court was built from a remountable principle in Amsterdam. It was still unknown what use the building would be given afterwards. Nevertheless, cepezed and Du Prie bouw & ontwikkeling decicded to make the leap, as a showcase for future projects.

new building in twente
The dismantled temporary court will be partly rebuilt this year at the kennispark in Twente. The materials have been temporarily stored at the knowledge centre in Heerde. A large part of the materials from the temporary court will be used in an educational and business building. For other parts, other locations are being searched to place them.

theme page
The theme page remountable construction was created to combine knowledge and provide more insight into the process. The temporary court is a showcase and an example for future remountable projects for cepezed.
