WestCord Hotels is going to operate ArsenaalDelft

Westcord Hotels is going to exploit the hotel function in the ArsenaalDelft, the former Army Museum in Delft. The historic complex has been redeveloped by Driestar B.V. and cepezedprojects. Next summer, Hotel Arsenaal will open its doors.

Hotel Arsenaal
Hotel Arsenaal in ArsenaalDelft will be a boutique hotel with 63 rooms, a restaurant, 20 parking spaces, and an inner courtyard. The old and original elements in the monumental building have been retained and combined with a modern and stylish finish. The finishing work is currently in progress.

historic location
ArsenaalDelft is an official national monument and is located on the peninsula between Oude Delft and Nieuwe Delft, two canals in the historic city centre. The complex consists of several buildings that were built over three centuries. To the ammunition storage from 1602, the Armamentarium and the East India Warehouse were added later. Between 1989 and 2013, the complex housed the Army Museum, which eventually became the National Military Museum in Soesterberg.

multifunctional use
From 2015, it was developed into a multifunctional facility with exhibition space and offices in addition to a hotel, conference centre and restaurant. A branch of the Loetje restaurant chain opened earlier. ArsenaalDelft was developed as a new crowd puller in the southern city centre. With two new bridges and a floating terrace, the original peninsula will become part of the urban public space.
Besides WestCord Hotels, Loetje, Sping, Senf and IQ Events are tenants of the historic complex. The transformation was designed by the firm of architects cepezed, redeveloped by Driestar B.V. and cepezedprojects and realized by cepezedbouwteam. Features of the design are: respect for the monument and the fact that no irreversible interventions have been made.
