All-round billboard

The 3M building has a floor area of approximately 7,430 m² and has basement-level parking. Its location directly next to the A13 motorway gives the building maximum exposure, and its striking clean-cut design makes it an excellent all-round billboard.

The building has horizontal articulation with panoramic strip windows. The spandrel panels are clad with aluminium.

3M is sustainable and divisible

Inside, the building is divided into two semi-circular parts, with a transparent roofed atrium in between. Strategic access via this atrium makes it easy to rent out each floor in sections, making the building eminently suitable for multi-tenant use.

The building is open, transparent and excellently arranged for flexible and interactive working. 3M’s own innovative products have also been incorporated into the building. The office has been realized sustainably and has a BREEAM-NL ‘Very Good’ certificate. For instance, heating and cooling are regulated via a geothermal heat pump system.

Basement and ground floor

The basement is kept out of sight under a green embankment with an integrated louvre wall. Here there are parking facilities and building support functions such as a distribution area, storage and changing rooms.

On the ground floor, 3M presents its products and technologies in the Customer Technology Centre. The restaurant with a large outdoor terrace is also located on the ground floor.

Space for all facilities

On the first floor, the meeting rooms and two modern laboratories can be found. The laboratories are used for research, testing and manufacture of prototypes and technologically high-grade products.

On the third and fourth floors there are offices. On every floor, there are so-called breakout zones with coffee corners in the atrium.
