job van den heuvel, architect tender manager

has been responsible for aquisition projects as tender manager at cepezed since 2015. This means his focus is on the early design phase, a phase that appeals to him because of its integral and conceptual character.

Job manages an enthusiastic team of 12 people. In the middle of the dynamics involved in 'tendering', they work on designs for sustainable, adaptive, spatial and logical buildings. If possible, the design approach is circular.

The focus on circularity increased after the construction of the Temporary court Amsterdam (2015-2021). After winning this tender, Job worked on this demountable design, which won the Gouden AAP and the Nationale Duurzaamheidsprijs Staal, among other awards, until the final design was completed. Job was also involved as designer in the new A Pier at Schiphol Airport - after winning an international competition - until the final phase. This was a complex assignment, designed in close cooperation with all stakeholders.

Job got his bachelor's degree in architecture from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. In 2013, he graduated with honourable mention from TU Delft. His graduation project was nominated for the Archiprix and won the 2013 Student Language Award. In 2009, he completed an internship at cepezed, followed by a three-year work-study period. In 2013, immediately after graduating, he joined cepezed full-time.

Besides the tender team, Job has a substantive management role within the business development department, the PR and communication team and the visualisation department.
