VU University research building 

This expansion of the VU focuses on scientific and medical research. cepezed is realizing this project together with engineering firms Pieters Bouwtechniek, DWA and DGMR. The research building is expected to be delivered in 2024.

on the fast-growing Amsterdam Zuidas  

The building is part of the VU Campus Zuidas and will be situated at the School Werk Tuinen location along the De Boelelaan. The development is an important step in renewing the facilities for science and technology within the VU.

More than just research  

Among other functions, the VU research building houses rooms for practicals, biosafety laboratories, electron microscopy rooms and laser facilities. It also contains a diversity of lecture rooms, spaces for self-study, as well as work and office spaces. Lastly, the building will contain catering, meeting places and a technology service centre.

The new VU building is BREEAM-Excellent certified, liveable, energy-efficient and life cycle-proof.
