Flexible units for Inholland Amsterdam

The building will be a shared location for studies in the following fields: Health, Sport & Welfare; Technology, Design & IT; Creative Business; Agri, Food & Life Sciences; and Business, Finance & Law. The life-science courses of the Regional Training Centre Amsterdam will also have a place in the building.

The courses make use of units that are flexible in terms of space, layout and occupancy. This makes it easy to respond to the shrinking or growing number of students.

The feel of a campus

The units are situated around a central atrium with shared functions such as lecture halls, an exhibition square, restaurant and living spaces. This atrium forms the heart of the building and has a hilly, landscaped design with ‘squares’, ‘streets’ and greenery. The overall impression is that of a campus.

Higher up in the building, the atrium landscape at the back connects to a roof garden. At the front, there is a city balcony with a beautiful view of Amsterdam.
