TechTalk 2022

cepezed participates in TechTalk. This exhibition on innovative companies from Delft can be visited during office hours in the municipal office of Delft until 14 October 2022.

building section d(emontable)

Building D is the cepezed prototype of a demountable building, or rather remountable. This building can not only be disassembled, it can also be completely rebuilt elsewhere. Building D is situated on the Nieuwe Laan in Delft, next to the cepezed office.

The Green House

In 2018, cepezed made the design for the transformation of the government office De Knoop, close to Utrecht Central Station. Since then, the green house sits on the terrain next to it. In 15 years’ time the dismountable pavilion will make way for a permanent new structure. The green house is sustainable in every sense, the glass panels of the Knoop have been reused in the facade, the furniture is pay per use and a green wall ensures the right air quality.

temporary court of justice amsterdam

Can it really be accomplished, dismantling and remounting? The Temporary Court Amsterdam proves that it can. In accordance with the client's requirements, this building served as a court of law for five years. It had to be representative of its function, but it also had to be equipped with a cell block. The temporary court was recently dismantled. The parts - right down to the door handles - are in storage until the building can be remounted in Enschede in early 2024, where it will serve a different purpose. Circularity at its best.

other appealing circular projects by cepezed
Circular construction is ingrained the DNA of cepezed. The office was established in 1973 and for almost fifty years, it has based its work on a kit-of-parts, a construction method with prefabricated elements. Prefabrication increases the quality of the architecture, speeds up the construction and ensures less inconvenience on the building site, where the parts are assembled 'dry'. Smart new computer programmes, such as BIM, have made it possible to label all building parts, making reuse increasingly easy.

pi scheveningen

A temporary care centre is rising within the walls of the PI Scheveningen. Prefabricated components are used as much as possible, so that they only have to be assembled at the construction site. Assembly will be done electrically, sparing the litigants inconvenience and ensuring little to no nitrogen emission at the building site. The last is necessary, because the PI Scheveningen is situated right next to a nature reserve. PI Scheveningen proves it is possible to build under the strictest nitrogen standards.

zuiderstrandtheater

The Zuiderstrandtheater in The Hague was a temporary theatre that became superfluous after the construction of Amare on the Spui in The Hague. It is not a cepezed design. But when a new location is found, cepezedprojects, the development branch of cepezed, will dismantle it together with dismantling company Lagemaat in order to rebuild it elsewhere. The municipality of Oss is interested.

prinsenhof arnhem

The Prinsenhof in Arnhem was certainly not intended as a temporary building. This former provincial government building is a rock-solid, concrete colossus. Yet Lagemaat is daring to dismantle it in such a way that it can be reused. The Prinsenhof will be carefully sawn into pieces, which will then be used to build a 'knowledge centre for circular construction and demolition'. cepezed is responsible for the design.
